Guess where I'm going March 5/6?

It's on historic Amelia Island, FL. Home to millionaire holiday-ers from the late 1800s and early 20th century. This island is simply idyllic. Husband and I tend to get away there often, and we just love it.  It's about 45 minutes from our home to the main part of town, but it feels like a lot further from cares and worries. It's our favorite day-trip.

I absolutely love gardening and plants so I can't tell you how excited I am about this event! In my favorite place with my favorite things! Yippee! I'll be sure to take pictures and share all the great stuff--with my fab new camera to get all the blooms captured just right!

Okay, just had to share that. If you're looking for a great getaway yourself, be sure to look up this gorgeous barrier island and come visit. It's all the things a seaside retreat should be!

Ribbon Bracket Shelves

I know this a little bit of a cop-out, but I just HAD to share this project from Martha Stewart. I mean really? How great is this? And with us all spring cleaning right now, and freshening up our homes, this project is simple, pretty and cheap. My favorite kind!!

Long time, no see!

Huzzah! I am finally back to blogging! I know I've been away a bit after funerals, traveling and work, but I'm sort of all caught up and feel like I devote more time again.

I was so lucky for the star of the new year to be blessed with lots of freelance work, but it all came at once. So when I wasn't sleeping, eating or doing necessary cleaning, I was writing my little heart out! Things are at least manageable now! These last three weeks have been the busiest I can think of in a long, long time. If I can get through this week, I think I'll be really whittling things down! Last week and this coming week will add up to traveling to four cities all across the nation. I haven't really even bothered to unpack in between!

AND--I appreciate you being so great to let me have a little much needed time for myself. I never start things lightly, so please know this was a very odd occurrence from me. So, I'm back, and I've got a new camera (Canon EOS Rebel!!!!) so look for some better pictures from me!

Missed all of you and definitely have a back-log of blogs to look over! Ack!
